Tom Hardy: Traps of a greek God!

For those of us who've seen the movie "Warrior" we know all to well about Tom Hardy and his godly like body. Before I rant on about Hardy and this blog will have a lot of ranting, I wish to first discuss the movie. Before its release many critics and movie addicts believed Warrior to be just another sub-par MMA or fighting related movie. To the surprise of many with the help of amazing acting from both the main cast and supporting cast and a surprisingly good performance from Nick Nolte as the father of Hardy. Which by the way has notched him an Academy Award nomination. Warrior is a fantastic film! To sum up this movie I believe it to rank among Rocky 1 and Raging Bull as one of the greatest fighting movies of all-time. Skeptical? Watch this movie and then tell me you weren't moved by the ending and the story of the two brothers. We all know many actors have prepared both mentally and physically for roles. To name a few Stallone (Rocky), Bale (Batman), and Reynolds (Blade). I could rant on and on about actors and their transformations but that's for another blog and another time. So for now I will focus on one actor in particular and that is Tom Hardy.

To go from this:

To this:

Now I know what you're thinking. Tom Hardy must be on steroids...I mean look at this guys traps!

Although some may be skeptical this physic is obtainable through hard work, strict diet, and over the top self-control. Apparently the diet was based around lean protein and vegetables. This means high amounts of chicken, protein shakes, and broccoli. His workout consisted of 2 hours of weight lifting, 2 hours of sparing, 2 hours of choreography, and 2 hours of MMA training. Of course the average working man or woman can not focus 8 hours of the day to working out but we are here to discuss Tom Hardy and his transformation. This daily regimine went on for 5-6 days a week for 2 months prior to filming. Below is a video of the behind the scenes of "Warrior" with a look at some of the training done by the actors (including Hardy).
